ALL A MAN NEEDS AS A PLACE OF
CONCEALMENT AND WORK
ΔΙΟΡΘΩΣΗ
I trust you all spotted my deliberate mistake in the Comments - omitting the 's' on 'Islands'. I can't be bothered to go back in and correct it, which would involve deleting the original and reposting with that one correction. On the other hand, I can't bear the thought of misleading all those relieved types out there, throwing up their hands in delight and sending Porto the moggie flying as they exclaim: Hear that, darling? Some publisher's finally had the sense to commission a decent history of Cerigo. Bravo Signal Books of Oxford, what?""About time, too!

Great self-portrait...but what's that book beside the lap-top. I'll get the detectives onto it. No hiding place!
Am not telling you. You will steal my thunder when I burst into Parga's Lament. You will screw my pitch when I refer to 'whining dotards' and 'pestilential madmen'; when I apologise for my 'lofty carriage and hauteur ... unable to keep my spleen to myself', you will giggle as others bow to my encyclopaedic reading and love of research.
Back to your scribbling jiggery-pokery and your Potts-throwing.
Fair enough, you may know. The book is a wondrous 'cultural' history of the Ionian Island (Epirus thrown in) ... too good for you. The landscapes of *your* imagination couldn't handle it ;-)
