1950 Hi-fi cartoon from New Yorker
Whoops - I'm dating myself just using the term "Hi Fi". Can you read the caption> Rather amusing and prescient. Eager beaver sales chappie running thru the features of iPod of the day and then pointing to two empty shelves at the bottom "in case anything new is invented." Of course, the inventions that followed would take up thrice the space .... Cartoon courtesy of the whacking great tome, "The Complete Cartoons of the New Yorker", given to my mother for a quaint ceremony now banished from the calendar, "Christmas", and bought for a mere $60 at Eagle Harbor Books ('Reading matter for the discerning gentry') of Bainbridge Island, WA, USA.
